Maternity Benefit is paid to mothers while they are on maternity leave from work. It is available whether or not your employer continues to pay you during your maternity leave.
    - If maternity benefit is being paid to you through your employer, tax can be charged on Maternity Benefit in error.
    - If maternity leave extends pass the end of one calendar year into the next year, then there are possible tax credit refunds due back to you.
Landlord Tax Returns.
If you are receiving income from renting out a property or part of your private residence in Ireland, then you need to file an Irish tax return and declare your income to the Revenue Commissioners, even if you are not living in Ireland.
