Here is a list of hints & tips to make the completion of your tax refund application easier
- Gather your documents when completing your online application form it helps to have the following documents to hand:
- Medical and dental bills and receipts
- Health Insurance refund statements
- Bin/Water charges receipts
- Trade union payment details
- College or university payment details (You don't have to have completed the course yourself, once you have paid the fees then you are entitled to the refund)
- Missing receipts? If you are missing your receipts you can contact your waste provider, doctor or pharmacist for a summary of charges paid for the relevant year. Remember you must have a receipt for all expenses claimed.
- Ask us for Help if you have any queries while completing your refund application you can email us and we'll phone you back or email you with an answer, whichever you prefer.
- Remember it's saved your application form will be saved as you progress through it, so if you get disturbed while completing it, you can come back and finish it when it suits you. (you will be sent an email with your login details).
- 4 years at once you can claim tax back for any of the last 4 years at once.
- Track your application you will be emailed a secure personal login so you can track the progress of your refund.
- Keep your receipts remember to keep receipts for all your tax deductible expenses so you can claim your tax back again next year. Also, you must keep all this documentation for up to six years incase the revenue request to see them.
